Spring has come!

Trout fishing season has started on the 1st of Feb. at some river in Japan. NAGARA river is one of them. Every year on this day, I look forward to seeing old friends & virgin trouts there. At the NAGARA river red spotted cherry salmon run to sea & river every year.

At that day, It was one of the coldest on record in this winter. I couldn't cast well with iced guid.

Many angler came there from around Japan. Especially Flyfisher like this river because they can fish a smolt trouts with midge dry flies in the snow.

On the 1st. of march Trout fishing season will start at most rivers in Japan.
Where should I go next?

this year's final fishing

 Yesterday, I went to a fishing pond in Tochigi Pref. to cast for trouts. It was terrible cold because wind was so strong and the snow lingered there. Guide iced in the early morning. I could cast long distance against the strong wind after the sun was up.　And that trees after me striped me of my very few flies.

 I could catch 10 trouts, however I couldn't hook trouts as I plan.

Last fishing this year

I went to a lake in Tochigi-Pref. with my old friend last week. I caught 2 rainbow trouts.

That's cultured trouts. But it's strict condition that day. It's a just excuse.
And then I ate last trout this year.

That was so delicious.
May I be able to cast for good trouts next year.

7 habits training program

I took two days training course of 7 habits. I've heard of it however not read it properly. Today is holiday and I spent time effectively today.
Up till now, My wife usually told me I should listen to her carefully and sympathetically but not voice my opinion and advice. She was right.
I'm no match for her. How frustrating!!

Elementary school's music program

Today is a national holiday "National culture day" in Japan. I'm going to elementary school to watch the music program my kids appear on the stage in.

It interested me the most that all late elementary grades sang accompanied by all teachers band. It was moving.

Salmon fishing season has come!

Well, I went to Hokkaido again to cast for Salmon the last week in September.
This is my third try. I caught some Cham salmon on a regular, constant pace, 1 or 2 a day.

And then I enjoy BBQ for dinner with my old friends after fishing. I looked forward to seeing them on this occasion.
I would like to go there again within this year.

Azusa river

I went flyfishing to Azusa river in Nagano Prf. with my old friend 26th of July. I caught a IWANA mountain trout & brown trout.
It was rain in the afternoon & became to get muddy. It was hard condition. It was a bummer. Well, Where I should to go next?

Expedition in the Hokkaido

I visited a old friend who has retired some years ago. He is living in Hikkaido. He knows many good rivers to fish. I could catch some good trouts this go-round because of him.

I love Hokkaido. I plan to go there in September again to catch a cham salmon. This is going to be great!

Golden week holidays have started

I went fly-fishing to "Oshino" in Yamanashi Pref. on last Friday. I drank too much on the previous day. So, I couldn't wake up early morning. And that I had to go back home my wife & kids lived at later in the day.
I left at 9 o'clock and additionally There was a huge traffic jam on a expressway due to GW. It was so terrible situation. I could cast for trout but only for 30 minutes.
I seemed to be on the edge.

iPhone 4

I was given a iPhone by my company. I have to build a Sales Support System until this autumn. It's just toy for me until then. And it help me write this blog & twitter. HaHaHa,

Trout Fly-fishing season has started.

It was my first time this year to go fly-fishing last Saturday.

I got five small trout. But they were so beautiful.

I want to go once more in this month.

Final fishing this year

After I got transferred to the marketing group, I started getting really busy and I couldn't write this blog.

I went flyfishing to a lake in Tochigi pref. Yesterday. I went alone by rent-a-car because my friend went to another lake for ice fishing.

We couldn't get a big fish.

It'll be a last fishing of the year.

Japanese smelts

I went to a lake in Gumma-Pref. for ice fishing this Wednesday. I could take the day off this Wednesdy to make up for last sunday. As may be expected of weekday, Few anglers went there.

I caught 39 Japanese smelts. It was a first time to fish on the ice. And then I ate the small fish as that dinner. Its was so delicious.

It was sunny, so I was snow-tanned.
I'll cast for a trout next month because of the opening of the trout fishing season in March.

the closing of my fishing for the year

I went fly-fishing at a lake in Tochigi pref. yesterday. It taked about 3 hours by car from Tokyo.

The day was so cold and it was snow and windy. So I guessed the lake was clear, however I saw many angler there.

I caught some trout. Maybe the picture is Yamame-trout. Also I caught smoll rainbow trout. And I caught no trout but in bad condition. You know these was cultured trouts.

I wanted to try my new rod and real. the rod is Powell and that half price. The rod is $99 and then real is JPY5,000. Line is more expensive than the real. that's a laugh.

New Bakery shop

A bakery shop has opend in my neighbouhood.
I'll be able to have a good breakfast everyday.
Freshly baked bread is so delicious.

harling

I went flyfishing with old friend Yesterday.

It was Baragi-lake in Gumma Prefecture.

It takes about 3 hours From Tokyo by car.

I enjoyed flyfishing with harling in this lake.

Harling is the way that you tow a fly by rowboat like trolling.

I caught some rainbow trout. the landing net I had was too small, so I felt uneasy.


Those rainbow trouts were good condition, running well, and jumping many times.



Where shall I go next month?

deep depression

I went to language school after work today.
I couldn't talk about what I wanted to speak in English freely once again.
I thought that I tried to study with English paperback book a while ago. However I couldn't understand it and I quitted in just a few days every time.

Salmon

I went to Hokkaido again with my old friends in this mid September.

My dream to catch Salmons finally came true when I took 4 days off in the half-year ending September.

We can catch salmons at not so many river in Japan.

One of these is Churui River.

I could catch some pink salmon however I couldn't see many fresh-run and that I caught only one chum salmon. But she run away before I took a picture.

I bought a new rod and reel. these are L.L.Bean. I can take advantage of direct importing because of the strong JPY.

I've had a good season this year.

I went on a business trip to Hokkaido yesterday.

I love Hokkaido having a great beautiful natural scenery.

And then, I went fishing by rent-a-car after work. I drove for four hours to a river. I took a short nap befor the sun rises.

I don't have heavy rods, so I used 4 wt. travel rod with 4X tippett.

Second picture is sea-run whitespotted char.

Large trouts exit in Japan!

Oshino

I went Fly-Fishing to Oshino Yesterday. Oshino is located close to Mt. Fuji. Oshino is the village of the spring water. It has a spring creek that is a originated from the natural spring of the beautiful Mt. Fuji.

Oshino is a one of the famous river in Fly-Fisher in Japan. Former U.S. president Carter has been there to cast for a trout a long time ago.

There ara so many anglers in the limited area. So I'm sure that trouts definitely feel high pressure.

I could catch some trouts that aren't very good condition. It was dark evening after sun set when I caught Iwana-trout in second picture.

I caught the good rainbow trout in third picture in previous time. She isn't big trout but beautiful.
