the closing of my fishing for the year

I went fly-fishing at a lake in Tochigi pref. yesterday. It taked about 3 hours by car from Tokyo.

The day was so cold and it was snow and windy. So I guessed the lake was clear, however I saw many angler there.

I caught some trout. Maybe the picture is Yamame-trout. Also I caught smoll rainbow trout. And I caught no trout but in bad condition. You know these was cultured trouts.

I wanted to try my new rod and real. the rod is Powell and that half price. The rod is $99 and then real is JPY5,000. Line is more expensive than the real. that's a laugh.

New Bakery shop

A bakery shop has opend in my neighbouhood.
I'll be able to have a good breakfast everyday.
Freshly baked bread is so delicious.

harling

I went flyfishing with old friend Yesterday.

It was Baragi-lake in Gumma Prefecture.

It takes about 3 hours From Tokyo by car.

I enjoyed flyfishing with harling in this lake.

Harling is the way that you tow a fly by rowboat like trolling.

I caught some rainbow trout. the landing net I had was too small, so I felt uneasy.


Those rainbow trouts were good condition, running well, and jumping many times.



Where shall I go next month?

deep depression

I went to language school after work today.
I couldn't talk about what I wanted to speak in English freely once again.
I thought that I tried to study with English paperback book a while ago. However I couldn't understand it and I quitted in just a few days every time.

Salmon

I went to Hokkaido again with my old friends in this mid September.

My dream to catch Salmons finally came true when I took 4 days off in the half-year ending September.

We can catch salmons at not so many river in Japan.

One of these is Churui River.

I could catch some pink salmon however I couldn't see many fresh-run and that I caught only one chum salmon. But she run away before I took a picture.

I bought a new rod and reel. these are L.L.Bean. I can take advantage of direct importing because of the strong JPY.

I've had a good season this year.

I went on a business trip to Hokkaido yesterday.

I love Hokkaido having a great beautiful natural scenery.

And then, I went fishing by rent-a-car after work. I drove for four hours to a river. I took a short nap befor the sun rises.

First picture is cherry salmon.

I don't have heavy rods, so I used 4 wt. travel rod with 4X tippett.

Second picture is sea-run whitespotted char.

Large trouts exit in Japan!

Oshino

I went Fly-Fishing to Oshino Yesterday. Oshino is located close to Mt. Fuji. Oshino is the village of the spring water. It has a spring creek that is a originated from the natural spring of the beautiful Mt. Fuji.

Oshino is a one of the famous river in Fly-Fisher in Japan. Former U.S. president Carter has been there to cast for a trout a long time ago.

There ara so many anglers in the limited area. So I'm sure that trouts definitely feel high pressure.

I could catch some trouts that aren't very good condition. It was dark evening after sun set when I caught Iwana-trout in second picture.

I caught the good rainbow trout in third picture in previous time. She isn't big trout but beautiful.
